Farmer’s Market is back
The Lakeland Farmer’s Curb Market took a break for the summer, but is back in business now, starting a new season. The market will be open Wednesdays 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturdays 8 to 2.
The market is downtown, located at E. Pine St. and N. Kentucky, only 5 miles south of Lakeland RV Resort. The market kicked off the new season with live music and a contest, so we’re sure they’ll continue with the tradition, having events and deals throughout the season.
The market features food and product vendors selling seafood, fresh in-season vegetables and fruits, sauces, soaps, woodworking and more. All vendors are from Lakeland and their products are locally grown and made, so support our city whether you live here or are just visiting with Lakeland RV Resort.
Visit the Farmer’s Market website for more news and information on the event and all the vendors.
Dog Days in Downtown
First Fridays in downtown Lakeland have been a popular attraction for locals and visitors since 2004. These events bring people from all over Florida and beyond to shop local and discover downtown past the normal 8-5 hours.
First Fridays always feature local vendors and entertainment and some feature special themes, like the upcoming Dog Days of Summer event on September 2. This version of First Friday will allow you to bring your best furry friends for all kinds of dog friendly events.
There will be a pooch parade, police K-9 demonstration, pet portraits, microchipping and more in addition to the outdoor dining, shopping and live music and entertainment that usually fills these events with fun for Lakeland residents and tourists.
If you’re staying with Lakeland RV this fall, be sure to check out this and more First Friday events, especially as the weather starts to cool down. Get more information about the Dog Days of Summer and more First Fridays on the Downtown Lakeland website.
