Halloween in Lakeland

October is fast approaching, and that means a lot of folks are thinking about Halloween. Around this time haunted houses open, scary movies come out at the box office and play on TV, and Lakeland has a few Halloween events to get you ready for the season.

The Halloween Film Festival will show family-friendly movies on Friday October 14 at the Medulla Resource Center from 6 to 9 p.m. In addition to movies, there will be costume contests and candy. Admission is free and this will be a great event for the whole family.

On October 22 the Haunted Hayride and Happenings will be at Loyce E. Harp park. Advance tickets are $5 per person and include a wristband for the hayride. The event will include carnival games, Trick-or-Treat village, crafts, a pumpkin patch, costume contests, entertainment and more. This event is a fun alternative to trick-or-treating, especially for those visiting with us from out of town.

The Polk Museum of Art will host its Family Halloween Party October 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. Admission is $5 for kids and $3 for kids and there will be scavenger hunts, games, activities and crafts, costume makeup and more! Bring the whole family and wear your best costumes! All these events are a great way to celebrate Halloween when you visit Lakeland RV Resort this October.
